Where the penguins go in the snowstorm? Do they have a shelter or just stay closer in groups? I think they are very intelligent, very close to the human thinking. I am sorry I don't know german...

The warmest place in these conditions should be the ocean. I read somewhere that gentoos can stay for a long time nonstop in the sea (at minimum several days).

Maybe they look for a shelter too. This storm came from the east so they had the best shelter by hiding behind the research station containers. But as far as I know they don't have this habit. Most likely they go for a swim in the "warm" ocean ;-)

I've truly enjoyed the cam site. I just realized that this blog was listed on the cam page. Have the penguins left for good? I miss them already.

Are you located at the station?

Thank you!
