Mount Jacquinot 63 deg 22'S, 57 deg 53'W
Pyramidal peak, 475 m. with exposed rock on its N side, lying 3 miles S of
Cape Legoupil and 1 mile E of Huon Bay, on the N side of Trinity Peninsula.
Discovered by a French expedition, 1837-40, under Capt. Jules Dumont
d'Urville, who named it for Lt. Charles Jacquinot, commander of the
expedition ship 'Zelee.'
