Momentan ist der Kindergarten ständig in Bewegung: manchmal ist das ganze Bild voller Pinguine und nur zwei Stunden später ist der Platz leer. Ins Wasser gehen die Jung-Pinguine wohl noch nicht, sie müssen zuvor erst noch ihre "Kinderfedern" ablegen. Man beachte auf dem oberen Bild die große Möve hinter dem Kreuz, es könnte eine Dominikanermöve sein (Kelp-Gull).

In the Antarktis it snows in the winter (probably in the fall and spring as well ;-) - but the winter is in June, July and August - summer in the northern hemisphere.

I check the penguin cam everyday. I find it fascinating to watch them and the weather on the other side of the world. When it is winter (our summer in North America) I suppose it is dark all the time? I also like to visit the North Pole cam at this link http://www.arctic.noaa.gov/gallery_np.html
The web cam doesn't start operating again until March when it starts to get light again.

the webcam pic isn't dark all the time during wintertime because the station is not behind the polar circle. In this diagram you can see for how long it is dark during the year:

Sorry, I have no idea why you can't open the pics. i have no problem to see them ... Maybe as an alternative yu can check the webcam archive pics:
